For the community centre in Prokshino we propose to unify the two principal program functions (kindergarten and community centre proper) within a single building placed furthermost from the waterfront. Thus a significant part of the territory remains a green park space free of buildings. Dictated to a large extent by limits of the plot and local regulations, the building openly manifests its functional layout. Amphitheatres, both internal and external, give the centre a recognisable shape and a memorable image. An unintended likeness of the longitudinal elevation to that of a crocodile resolves any possible issues with naming and branding of the community centre, what with its juvenile content as well as the ever present character of a stern but kind crocodile in many Russian books for children.
