The core principle behind our centre for culture and recreation is permiability and a constant visual link between the sea, the forest and the visitor. Rooms with solid walls are elongated boxes oriented perpendicularly to the shoreline and parking lot. All the rest are glazed spaces between these solid rectangles. Thus, any lateral movement along or within the building offers a caleidoscope of interchanging views through it.
Flat wooden roofs, placed at varying levels, cover different functional areas and single rooms. The synergy of flowing spaces, levitating roofs and the omnipresent view of natural surroundings within the building creates richly diverse interior.
Viewed from the outside, the wooden roofs compose a kind of an oblong cloud that floats nonchalantly between the tree trunks.
